Then, we were watching and waiting for eggs, which arrived! Then we had chicks! My mom and I were in love with these doves. Sadly, our nest was attack by a cat! We were devastated. Then were heard our Corgi, Scooter, and Terrier, Sage, barking and pawing at the ground. Upon investigation we discovered that one of the chicks had survived! We made it a "nest" out of a plastic shoe box, newspapers, and cut up fuzzy blankets. The next day we found a veterinarian who specialized in rehabilitation of orphaned and injured birds. We took him in and I'm happy to say that our little Mourning Dove chick was healthy, unharmed and is now fully grown and flying free! :)Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06792912064689535426noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6220225408933994944.post-91325012158853841662011-02-15T04:47:57.994-08:002011-02-15T04:47:57.994-08:00Oh Lauren your enthusiasm for the birds coming int...Oh Lauren your enthusiasm for the birds coming into your garden is so lovely!
